Members

As a member of the Vineyard Power, one will elect to purchase their renewable electricity through the cooperative. This will be a locally owned resource providing benefits to the island community.

The member benefits include stabilized and eventually lower electricity rates. Members participate in decisions through committees and commentary. February 2010 Member Meeting

Martha's Vineyard's local wind energy cooperative Vineyard Power held its first member meeting on February 7, 2010. New members we inducted and the process leading up to the meeting was outlined. Also discussed was how decisions will be made about cooperative governance and about the siting of wind turbines. Business framework and budget was also presented.
